Global Harvest Ministries
Investing into the lives of others
"I planted the seed, Apollos watered, but God made it grow."
1 Corinthians 3:6
Purpose and Function
Part of the heart of North City Church, is to reach out to the community and show God's love in practical ways. We have various projects that run throughout the year, and many that are once-a-year events.
The Purpose/Function of Global Harvest Ministries is to encourage and facilitate investment,
both of financial and of human resources to "ministries" that are outside of North City's immediate
function of: Restoring, Establishing, Equipping and Releasing.
To prepare people for ministries that will impact local and international needs through the Good
News of Jesus Christ.

primarily for non-churchgoers and new Christians. It was established at Holy Trinity Brompton in London
twenty years ago and there are now more than one thousand churches involved in running Alpha courses all
over New Zealand.

India
We support Samuel who ministers in »Bihar,
which is a very difficult area of India.
We sent a team to India in February 09, this was a very successful
ministry trip and we are looking at sending another team in 2011,
anyone interested please contact Gordon Woolley.

Parents Equipped
Parents Equipped is a community program where women can come and
learn to cook low cost nutritious meals in a safe and friendly environment.
Most of the women that come are from Family Start who bring them and
pick them up.
All women who would like to have some fellowship with other women
and enjoy learning to cook easy meals are welcome.
The program runs for 6 weeks each term and is held on Thursdays from 10am to 12pm (noon).
If you're interested in being a part of this, please contact the church office.

Children's Day
Children’s Day is celebrated in New Zealand each year and we as a
church have been involved in the organisation of the Discovery park
event for the last 3 years. The latest one in March 09 was a very
successful day again. We will be involved in running the Children’s
Day event again next year on the 1st Sunday afternoon of March.

Toy Library
North City has it's own toy library, where parents and children can come and borrow toys for up to two weeks, this is also a great way to trial toys to see if your children are interested in them before purchasing them as birthday or Christmas gifts.
