Pastor Noel and Ruth Bowker
Pastor Noel Bowker became a Christian when he was 16 years old in Levin, shortly after meeting Ruth. Noel and Ruth moved to Wanganui to work in a Social Welfare Boys home. They had 6 years in Wanganui where their two daughters were born. They moved to Auckland in 1980 where Noel became Assistant Principal of Wesleydale Boys home. After 7 years and when this home was closed they moved to Hamilton and Noel was Assistant Principal of the Dey St girls home. During this time he felt called to plant the North City Connections Church, which was started on 19th February 1989.
